About the Role

You spend the majority of your time designing, developing, and maintaining a robust and extendable data base for the corporate reporting and analytics environments of our customers. You will actively take part in the decision-making, planning, and execution of projects that are intended to restructure and enhance the tech stacks and data architectures of our customers.
Requirements
A completed bachelor or master education such as Computer Science, Informatics, Technical Business Administration or similar level obtained by work experience.
Ideally several years of relevant work-experience in a similar role.
You have knowledge of programming languages such as Java, SQL, DAX, Python.
You know large scale design, implementations, and operations of OLTP, OLAP, DW and NoSQL data storage technologies, such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure SQL DW, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake Store, Hadoop, Hive, MongoDB, MySQL.
You can create descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions using tools as Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Data Lake Analytics, Spark, Databricks, SSAS.
You are familiar with Agile working methods.
You are used to advise colleagues (unsolicited) about solutions and opportunities that you see. And you like it when colleagues do the same to you.
You get energy from working in a team.
You don't shy away from looking for the unknown without knowing the exact outcome.
You can explain complex topics in an understandable way to a wide audience.
A good command of the English language in word and writing.
Knowledge of the Dutch language is an advantage.

Your most important tasks
Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data sets and data architectures.
Performing quality checks by means of pair programming/code reviews.
Develop and maintain a stable Data Governance Framework.
Contribute to data literacy projects.
Providing in-house training and substantively guiding colleagues in the team.
